Alpine with Rust installed
10K+
rustThis image contains a build of Rust on an Alpine base image. Amongst others, it's used by a number of solutions in the Primes project. It was created as a separate base image because the Rust build time was prohibitive for it to be built as part of the Primes CI process.
Please note that there is also a Ducker Official Rust image, which should probably be used for most purposes. This image was created because the authors of some of the Primes solutions concluded that a custom build yielded better performance in the context of Primes than the official image did at the time.
To run the rust image as is, use the following command:
docker run -ti primeimages/rust
To use the rust image as a base image for a Docker image of your own creation, make sure the first line of your Dockerfile looks as follows:
FROM primeimages/rust:<version>
Replace <version> with the Rust version you want to use that's available in the image's Tags list, or latest for the latest available version.
The source code for this image is available at the following location: https://github.com/PlummersSoftwareLLC/Rust-docker.
If you have any questions about the rust image, please create an issue in the GitHub repository's Issues section.
